MA Ribbon Alert indicator is a free MT4/MT5 indicator that you can download here and use in your MetaTrader to receive notifications via email, mobile app, and in the platform when there is an established trend according to the moving average ribbon.

What Is Ribbon Indicator?
Ribbon indicator is a simple tool to spot a potential trend.

Ribbon indicator is basically a group of moving averages of different periods.

It is very similar to Alligator indicator, but better.

The indicator works with multiple moving averages in order to determine the trend of an instrument.

It can be used as an entry signal, exit signal, or trailing stop, so it is very versatile.

This indicator is also known as, multiple moving averages, ribbon indicator, and, sometimes, rainbow indicator.

MA Ribbon Alert Indicator
MetaTrader platform doesn't include a multiple moving average ribbon indicator by default.

Moving Average Ribbon indicator can be loaded on an MT4/MT5 chart to show a series of eight moving averages with a fixed period increment.

For example, you want to start from an exponential moving average of period 10 and see the eight subsequent moving averages with a period increment of 5.

Ribbon indicator will draw the following:

• EMA(10)
• EMA(15)
• EMA(20)
• EMA(25)
• EMA(30)
• EMA(35)
• EMA(40)
• EMA(45)

Via the indicator options, you can configure:

• Starting period.
• Type of moving average.
• Applied price.
• Period of increment.

You can also be notified when either:

• Faster moving averages are above (or below) the slower ones.
• A candle closes above (or below) all of the moving averages.

These signals can be used depending on your strategies, but can be potentially used for entry, exit, or trailing stop.

This indicator allows you to receive alert notifications via:

• Email
• Mobile app
• On screen

Another interesting feature of this MA Ribbon Alert indicator is that it can draw buy and sell signals in the form of arrows when alert conditions are met.

MT4 MA Ribbon Alert Installation
To install MA Ribbon Alert Indicator, please follow the instructions below:

1. Download the indicator archive file.
2. Open the MetaTrader 4 data folder (via File→Open Data Folder).
3. Open the MQL4 Folder.
4. Copy all the folders from the archive directly to the MQL4 folder.
5. Restart MetaTrader 4 or refresh the indicators list by right-clicking the Navigator subwindow of the platform and choosing Refresh.

To install the MT5 MA Ribbon Alert Indicator please follow the instructions below:

1. Download the indicator archive file.
2. Open the MetaTrader 5 data folder (via File→Open Data Folder).
3. Open the MQL5 Folder.
